New breeder resource series off to great start

On April 27, Farmers Weekly launched the first of three Livestock Showcases for 2026.

Inserted into Farmers Weekly and delivered to 73,000 rural mailboxes, the Autumn Bull Sales Showcase connected bull breeders with readers during a period that is traditionally high in engagement.

National Livestock Manager Andrea Mansfield spearheaded the initiative.

She said the Showcases were developed in response to breeders requests for innovative print advertising solutions under the Farmers Weekly masthead, along with opportunities to have their story written by our newsroom.

“With the Autumn and Spring bull sale seasons providing the majority of a bull breeder's income, significant investment is made by both the breeder and the buyer. ‘Today's purchase is tomorrow's future’ she said. 

The Showcases aim to connect breeders and buyers at a critical time of year through a trusted print platform.”

Autumn was a huge success and feedback has been positive. 

It will be followed by the Spring Bull Sales Showcase on August 10, and the Ram Sales Showcase on October 5.
